For your clients and for your team

Bespoke web applications and software.

The program you can’t find ready-made, developed for your business and for the people who will use it.

When no program does what you need, the work gets split between emails, phone calls and data someone copies from one place to another. A bespoke application brings it all together in one place: each person logs in with their own username and finds what they need.

Two real screenshots of OnlyTap split by a line you can move: on the left, what the client sees, their links and their scans; on the right, what the team sees, the admin panel with the list of clients.
Example

Examples of bespoke software.

Three of these examples come from OnlyTap, our application. A business puts an NFC plaque or a QR code on its counter. Its customer holds their phone to the plaque or scans the code, and whatever that business has chosen opens, such as the window to leave it a review or its WhatsApp.

What OnlyTap does
  1. Private client area

Each client logs in with their own username and checks their orders, invoices or bookings without calling you. In OnlyTap, the business logs in to its area, chooses which link each plaque or code leads to and sees how many times they’ve been used.

  2. Bespoke management software

Clients, orders, stock or shifts in a single program, organised the way your team works. We run our plaques this way in OnlyTap: which are free, which a business already has and which have turned out faulty.

  3. SaaS platform to sell your service

SaaS is a program you sell as a service: other companies use it online, without installing anything, each with its own account. OnlyTap is a service like that: any business can sign up, create its QR codes and manage its plaques.

  4. Payments and subscriptions

If your service is paid for by subscription or by use, your client chooses their plan and pays by card inside the application. Depending on the plan, they get one set of features or another.

Tell us your idea

An existing program or bespoke software?

One is already built and you pay a fee for it. The other is built for you and paid for in phases.

A question, whether there is a program that does what you need, and its two ways out: if the answer is yes, use that program, with four cases that are usually already solved; if it’s no, have it made to measure, with four cases that usually need something of your own.

Is there a program that does what you need, with your data and for a fee that’s worth it to you?

Yes

Use that programIt works out better for you. We invoice with an existing one too.

Usually already solved

  • Invoicing and accounting
  • Payroll and shifts
  • Email and calendar
  • Online shop
No

Have it made to measureOnly what no program solves for you gets developed, and both the code and the data are yours.

Usually needs something of your own

  • A private area for your clients
  • Data you pass between programs by hand today
  • A process that doesn’t fit in any program
  • A service of your own to sell to other companies

If there’s already one that works for you, we’ll tell you before we write you a quote.

Example
  1. Write down the tasks that take up most of your time today and who does them.

  2. Test whether any program solves them, with real data from your business.

  3. If none does, have it made to measure. Sometimes connecting the programs you already use is enough.

How is a bespoke application made?

One same screen in four steps. You see each one and approve it before we move on to the next, so nobody programs something that turns out to be no use to you.

The same screen from a quotes panel in four steps: a written list of what it must do, its plan in lines, its design with branding and the working application with data.
  1. What it must do

We write down with you what it has to solve, who will use it and what each person can do.

  2. The plan

We draw each screen with its buttons and its data, without colours. Changing something here is still quick.

  3. The design

The same screen with your brand, just as it will look. Nothing has been programmed yet.

  4. The working application

We program it and test it with your data before launch. The first version carries the essentials.

How much does bespoke software cost?

A sheet with the four things that set the price of bespoke software: the features, the development time, whether it’s web, mobile or both, and the connections and data.

What sets the priceWhat it means

  • FeaturesWhat it has to do and how many screens it has. A client area isn’t the same amount of work as a platform with plans and fees.
  • Development timeThe hours of design, programming and testing those features need.
  • Web, mobile or bothA web application opens in the browser. If you also need a mobile app, there’s more work.
  • Connections and dataWhich programs it has to connect to, such as your invoicing, and what data has to be brought in.

The price depends on what the application does and how long it takes to develop.

With that, we propose a first version with the essentials and the rest in phases. Each phase says what it includes, when it’ll be ready and how much it costs, and you decide how far you go.

Can the application be extended or scaled later on?

Yes, and that’s normal: once your team uses it every day, things come up that nobody thought of at the start.

Extending means adding features. Scaling means it can handle more people and more data without slowing down.

The code, the data and the accounts are yours, with no lock-in. If tomorrow you want another programmer to extend it, they carry on where we left off.

What web maintenance includes
The same quotes panel at three moments, bigger each time: the first version, with a single section; extended, with invoices and a client area; and scaled, with more people and a much longer list.
  1. First version

The essentials: making quotes and sending them.

  2. Extended

Invoices and an area for your clients are added.

  3. Scaled

More people come in, more data builds up and it’s just as fast.

Questions about bespoke applications and software.

Got another question?

What is bespoke software?

A program made for one specific business, not for thousands. If it opens in the browser without installing anything, it’s a web application.

How long does the first version take?

It depends on what goes into it, which is why we keep it to the essentials. The schedule goes in writing in the proposal, phase by phase.

Does it have to be downloaded from an app store?

It depends. A web application opens in the browser, with nothing to download. A mobile app is downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. And some projects need both.

Can the application connect to our programs?

Almost always: your invoicing, your email or your online shop. If one of them doesn’t allow it, we look for another way or tell you it isn’t worth it.

Who looks after the application once it’s up and running?

We do, if you take out maintenance: we monitor it, update it and add whatever’s needed. If you’d rather use another programmer, you give them the code and they carry on from there.

Who can see the application’s data?

Whoever you decide. Each person logs in with their own username and password, and you set what they can access: a client, their orders; an employee, what relates to their work. If you change provider, you take all the information with you.
